 Our People Pillar goal is to increase diversity at the leadership level (Dir+) across the organization to levels reflective of our employees, customers and communities.  To do this, we are focusing on a variety of actions including intentionally creating recruitment and sourcing strategies that attract diverse talent; purposefully developing diverse internal talent and actively fostering an inclusive environment that promotes engagement and retention and deliberately understanding what diversity means across our global footprint.  A key program within our People efforts are  our own Employee Resource Group (ERG) communities – created by employees and led by employees. Each of us play a role in driving DE&I throughout the organization and we drive accountability for these efforts with our DE&I Council.  Our Council actively drives DE&I efforts across the business, advocates for underrepresented voices and provides strategic guidance on our DE&I programs, goals and areas of focus across the enterprise.

 

 

 

 

We believe that by developing programs that focus on attracting, developing and retaining top talent, we can build a stronger company and work with customers who believe in the same principles.  Programs deployed through our ERGs and expanded across the business include a Mentoring program (traditional and reverse mentoring) and participation in the McKinsey Leadership Academies (Black – US/EMEA; and Asian).

That’s one of the reasons we embed DE&I into our manager training - including unconscious bias education, anti-harassment and discrimination and our Code of Conduct and offer New Hire information sessions for employees to learn more about how to get engaged with DE&I at Syneos Health. Measuring our progress

We are actively monitoring our employee demographics globally and understanding employee sentiment through a variety of measures and tools.  We also are working to set internal goals for more purposeful measurement in an effort to maintain our strength in gender diversity and seeking to improve areas not so strong with a focus in racial/ethnic diversity in the US.
