UKRAINE BUSINESS CONTINUITY PULSE - FEBRUARY 17, 2022

Customer Colleagues,

At Syneos Health, the wellbeing of our employees and customers is our highest priority. Given the ongoing tensions between Russia and the Ukraine, Syneos Health has activated a cross functional Business Continuity Response Team to coordinate the Company’s response. This group meets regularly to discuss contingency plans and potential actions should any events occur.

The cross functional nature of this team allows for significant decisions to be made quickly and in the best interest of our employees and customer priorities. We maintain an unwavering vigilance surrounding these events and will modify actions as needed.

RISK ASSESSMENT

We currently evaluate a medium risk to Syneos Health operations in the impacted region.

To help mitigate clinical-focused business disruptions, our teams are conducting Project Level Risk Assessments. These teams will share updates with customers and address active sites, patients on active treatment, data collection methods and tools, monitoring/resource availability, IP availability and overall project timelines as necessary.

CUSTOMER SERVICE, BUSINESS CONTINUITY AND VIRTUAL WORK

Syneos Health continues to make every effort to minimize the impact of the Russia/Ukraine situation on the work we conduct for our customers, patients, clinical trial investigators and healthcare practitioners.

Much of our global employee base already works in a remote format. We have in place, and continue to deploy, robust technologies to efficiently and effectively provide virtual service.

Syneos Health has developed remote business-specific guidelines and tools to work in a fully adaptive style and is intensely focused on ensuring clinical trials proceed, and that site staff and patients are safe and in compliance with governmental policies.

We have also provided guidance for risk-based and remote/central monitoring in high-impact/restricted regions, and we have the ability to implement our remote monitoring strategy on a global scale as needed.

BUSINESS CONTINUITY PLANNING SUMMARY

Our Business Continuity Response Team, working in conjunction with our Transition Management Office (TMO), is tasked with aligning regional and local stakeholders and developing robust response plans.  These workstreams continue to focus on the above while prioritizing employee safety.

We’re regularly updating our teams to navigate, deliver and learn together.

Thank you for your partnership.
